You set Your treasures in jars of clay
Hoping they would never break… and always stay…
You only give and never take…
And You believe that the jars will never break…
You trust us and forgive us each time
Although, probably we wouldn’t have given a dime…
Give us the grace to forgive and forget…
When the jars break (in which we had our treasures set)…
Make the jars of clay stronger
So that they can last forever… or at least longer…
And always give us the courage to try
And never let our hope die…
Saying goodbye can be necessary
Although it may not always seem easy…
There is so much to say and so much left undone
Yet it’s time to say goodbye… since the battle couldn’t be won…
I hope you are always happy
I hope you are always free…
Even though we couldn’t make it
You meant a lot to me…
This goodbye marks a new beginning
For both of us right now…
Time will tell the reason we had to part,
For who, why and how…
You taught me a lot and were with me
When things were bleak and I couldn’t see…
Now all I can do is pray with all my heart
That God guides us to make a new start…
