They always say…

They always say…

It’ll be okay.

They always say…

Bad things won’t stay.

What if it’ll never be okay?

What if bad things always stay?

What if there isn’t a happy ending?

What if there isn’t always mending?

What if some things never change?

What if pain goes beyond the range?

Some things in life are broken.

Some things are better left unspoken.

This isn’t an escape.

This isn’t an excuse.

This is acknowledgement

To avoid self-abuse.

One day though, God will wipe away my tears [Revelation 21:4].

On that day I can truly leave behind my fears.

Is it really that hard?

Here I sit, far away…

Wondering if anyone would ever stay…

When things get real and life gets rough…

When everything in life seems tough.

Is it really that hard to hold my hand?

Is it really that hard… with me to stand?

Why is it always someone else who occupies the heart?

Will I ever get an opportunity… to even start?

Yet, this I believe, that God has a plan…

Above every possible imagination of man (Isaiah 55:8-9).

Someday He will let me see…

What He really wanted me to be.

Midnight Light

I wait here standing in the night…

Searching for a glimmer of light.

In every direction I try to find…

A shadow… formed from light of some kind.

 

Why am I here… my heart repeats…

Why does my heart even beat?

Is there something more to this life…

Than the pursuit of happiness… and strife?

 

As I search for answers… the stars emerge…

And I feel my hope surge.

You are the way, the truth, the life, the light (John 14:6, John 8:12)

Like stars glimmering in the midnight.

and when you feel afraid…

Remember that you were fearfully

and wonderfully made. [Psalms 139:14]

 

When you feel numb

and everything is slipping like sand…

Remember that you

are engraved on God’s hands. [Isaiah 49:15-16]

 

When you feel lonely

and when you feel betrayed…

Remember that God will never forsake you…

and with you, He will always stay… [Deuteronomy 31:6]

 

When you feel tired

and you have tried your best…

Bring your burden to Him

for He will give you rest. [Matthew 11:28-29]

 

When you feel that you are not good enough

or that you have guilt you can’t be free of…

Remember that God died for you

Because of His everlasting love. [John 3:16]

If you turn the pages of your life

What would you find in it?

 

Lost opportunities?

Feelings taken for granted?

Misplaced trust?

Hurt feelings?

Many, many mistakes?

Wrong paths taken?

Naive gullibility?

Irrelevant comparisons?

Striving for vanities?

Loss of time?

Loss of hope?

Loss of trust?

Loss of love?

Regrets?

Guilt?

Life lessons?

 

Life can be beautiful

And it can also be heartbreaking…

Try giving it a second chance

Hopefully the beauty overshadows the pain…

Her prayers have been answered

Who hides behind her smile

Who acts like life is perfect for her

By God’s grace has now become possible

What was unthinkable and unbelievable

What couldn’t be conquered by logic and the mind

Has been conquered by having faith and being kind

Now is the time for your tears to dry

Wake up from your dreams and see

From your burdens you have been set free

 

Preach to everyone who is around

This message, beautiful and profound

The things with humans which are impossible

With God, our savior, they are possible

With tears we can finally understand

God is at our right hand

 

Without tears there is no comfort or empathy

And we are stuck in a world of hatred and jealousy
